The record of your transaction wil not be available at store level, as records are purged at intrevals there. If there is sufficient personal data in the record, it may be retrieved from corporate records database, but if you only provided minimal information, it may not be able to be located.
Live and learn...always keep a copy of your recepts, and also make a scan of the orignal in electronic format in case the original fades or darken, as they are prone to do.

i just called my best buy I bought it at, and they gave me a 888-237-8289, I spoke with a nice lady there but was unable to help me at all with my situation, nothing came up with 3 different phone numbers i gave her my name, she wanted to know the exact date of purchase, heck i can barely remember the month..but like you said live and learn and to let out some of m frustration i will be putting about two magazines full of 9.32x64mm (AK-47) rounds thru this nice looking lemon tv..and posting the video on youtube so people can learn to keep their receipts, and buy a protection plan and to let them know that insignia sucks big time

You may have an option. Listen carefully.
Find the associate who tendered your transaction. Find out which register you paid at(they all have numbers). Have operations search all of that specific employees transactions at that time/date.
Good luck.

Hello galaviz,
I'm sorry to hear about your TV issues. And now to find your receipt from that purchase. I'm more than happy to try to help out. I'll need more information in order to do a search. Can you please send me a private message with your full name, address, email and phone number. If you've moved, please include your old address information.
The more information you can give me, the better. I see you've already talked to one of our reps in Consumer Relations and it sounds like that person wasn't able to help. I'll do my best to see if we can find your receipt of purchase. Now, to send me a private message, please click on the link to the right of my signature line. Once I hear back from you, I'll get to work on it.
Thank you!

Once again you don't know what your talking about. Several times I've gone back without a receipt and they always found it.
Sometimes they had to dig a bit, but they always found it.
No KUDOs to you buddy!

Probably some of the worst logic I've ever heard...
