Is my 2 year warranty i bought with the xbox void if its from water damage?? i just moved and i left my xbox outside with other things when moving in, forgot about it and of course it stormed.

Thank you for visiting our forums. I am sorry to hear that your Xbox 360 was left outside in the rain. I can only imagine your disappointment. Unfortunately, our service plans for video game consoles do not cover liquid damage. I sincerely apologize for that.

If you are not satisfied with your service plan, you may return to any Best Buy® store with your receipt to cancel the service plan for a prorated refund. I recommend doing a web search of the problem to see if there are any at-home remedies to fix it.

Don't plug it in, sit the console in a window to let the sun help dry it out. Try it in a few days. If you plugged it in already you may have already shorted some thing out. You can also let it sit covered in a box with dry uncooked rice, that will help remove the moister. Don't be tempted to plug it in to try it too early, if it is still wet it will cause damage.

yea that sucks, especially when best buy employees tell you to buy the warranty cause it covers drops, spills, ect.
