It's great that the store is willing to go to such lengths for a customer! I do really hope that you get your item exchanged evenly. Crystal has explained the policy as it exists, however, but with any luck, there won't be any problem either way.

In the event that Best Buy replaces your Xbox 360 (or any other product with memory for that matter), you are responsible for backing up and/or transferring your data. This is mentioned in #10 of their service order disclaimer. There is a special cable that Microsoft sells that can transfer Xbox 360 data. You can also pay the Geek Squad to transfer the data for you. I forgot how much Geek Squad charges for this service.

I think you are going to be better off going to the store and seeing what they are going to do with it. As I stated, they may or may not even exchange it. They will not do cash back even if they decide to replace it, only store credit. If they do replace the console for some reason you might ask if they will price match microsofts site, but they are well within their rights to deny it, but you never know. This plan is a service plan, not a cash value, or replacement plan.

All we're doing here is stating policy. I'm not even sure what kind of plan you have or if the store was even following correct procedure with your previous exchanges. I'd hate for you to get the wrong info here and be disappointed when you go into a Best Buy with your Xbox 360.
