Yesterday i tried updating to ios 4 for my 3rd generation ipod touch purchased about a couple months ago and it didn't work. When I put it in DFU mode and restored it when it restarts back up i get error -9812 on itunes. I think that my computer is a little outdated... Could best buy get my ipod programmed again? I don't have the extended warranty and its like a 5 minute fix because i just need to plug it into a computer with itunes. Its just stuck on the plug into itunes menu... Can best buy help me with this?
If the Geek Squad Counter in your area is not busy at the time, chance are they might make an exception for you since you mentioned its a quick fix. But I would not count on this information as every Best Buy store is different in making exceptions.
