Who can make a decision and do they have a phone number????

I'm curios if in their training if any are they given any decision making power???? :smileyindifferent:

Around the last week of training they are given two options for dealing with customers:

 

1: The "out-right" lie;

2: The "boldface" lie.

People should be allowed to vent without fear of being talked down to.  Sulk? Let's see...We spend money, buy a protection plan, and may received poor service in return. What can you bring to the table except trying to talk down to someone who spent THEIR MONEY at Best Buy. You weren't in-store or on the other end of the phone when their situation happened. How can you judge how someone feels?

Your right damon, i dont really know what its like to go through what most of these ppl have. I just dont see anything constructive coming out of this...

Man, people have so much on their minds right now.  Please be happy that people take out their frustrations on this board.  With the economy crumbling, why should someone being content with getting the runaround over their $1200 dollar laptop, $900 TV, etc?

It really depends on the situation. In most cases with a Geek Squad (Not Best Buy) problem if your having issues getting something resolved call talk get to the right department (Home Theatre, Covert Ops, Mission Control, Central Dispatch etc.) give the agent your information and explain the issue, then ask for a supervisor. The supervisors have the ability to do quite a bit, within reason, and will help you resolve the problem efficiently. 

 

For Best Buy regarding the store, speak to the store manager. The manager have a hefty amount of clout at Corporate. If you are having issues with the manager call 1-888-BESTBUY and ask for Consumer Relations. They will escalate your issue (if merited) to corporate.

 

For Best Buy regarding the web site, try contacting the Dot Com department. I have not had much luck getting issues resolved quickly though.
