Ask If you are getting the same warrant or buying something with all new terms!!!!! Or you could be eating CROW!!!!!!
Got to LOVE life, My Canon 5D falls to It's death on the 19th of jan. In the fist week of the month I extender my Black Tie Pro. on three Items one being the camera. So Best Buy told me there was nothing they could do for me. ADH end with the original four year plain that ended on the 18th, NICE!!!! Did I miss something when I extended the warranty for another time???? I must have mist the part that said I was not really extending the current warranty but buying a lesser warranty, with no ADH coverage!!!!!!
After I got back home It took 45min to find someone who could give me my money back for the 2nd extend warranty!!!!!

Yea, on my ipod, its said that on the renewal card on the back that ADH is not in the renewal, unless specificied on the front. Always read the fine print. Sucks, I know ![]()

Hi TheBigRedTruck,
I am honestly sorry that you had incorrect expectations as to what your renewed service plan covers, and it is correct that Accidental Damage from Handling (ADH) is not covered by renewed service plan. I do show that your request to have your renewal charge has been submitted, and you should get your funds back shortly.
I would like to see if there is anything I can personally do for you, and I am sending you a private message to discuss this. To check your messages you should log into the forum, and then click on the letter icon in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
Thanks for posting,

Nope

Best Buy mis-direction and highly motivated sales persons who knew what the customer wanted.
Best Buy Protection is good only until you need it. Then you find how useless it is.
And Biff, did you just change your ID?
So few new members start up and go directly to backing up Best Buy. Most are company trolls.
The actual customers are so Pi$$ed that it would be rare for them to have so much knowledge of Best Buy policies so quickly.
I guess Best Buy encourages the trolls to make it seem that there are evenly distributed pro and con views here where the disappointed go to first get service, then support, and then vent their frustration.

Hi TheBigRedTruck,
Thanks for posting back, and hopefully I can add clarification as to why this damage to your camera wasn't covered. I show you purchased your original four year service plan was purchased on 1/18/2008, and that plan is expired as of 1/19/2012.
The plan technicially expires exactly at the moment it switches from 1/18/2012 to 1/19/2012 (12AM the night of 1/18/2012). This is why the date your plan was listed as being expired on this email is 1/19/2012 indicating this is the first date that your plan will be considered expired unless you choose to renew the plan. Since you state your camera became damage on 1/19/2012 the plan would not have covered the damage to your camera.
I do see where this email implies otherwise, and I apologize for any inaccurate information contained in this email.
In addition it sounds like the damage to your camera might not have been covered if it had happened while your plan was still valid. Drops from extreme heights are not covered by any of our service plans, and from reading the other cases on this it sounds like this damage would not have been covered anyway. I hope this adds clarification to your concern, and I wish you the best!
Thanks,
