This thread is just dancing in circles... With that said, I will guarantee you this outcome: You will receive the amount you originally paid for your fridge back onto a gift card/store credit. A Community Connector should be coming around to tell you the same thing but only in nicer terms.

As well as you will cool off, and continue to shop in Best Buy. You're friends will just take your story and pretend to empathize, and continue to shop where they will.
I spent my fair time, years ago in multiple retail chains, and I'd be hard pressed to say I didn't see a majority of the customers who yelled and screamed, threatened to sue, and swore never to shop at store X/Y/Z again!!! walk through those doors shortly there after.

Lol rell. I only worked at 2 and I have heard the same thing multiple times. I never try to say this to the people here as they are mad and venting. But if a person truly believes they can influence hundreds (and in some claims thousands) of people to not shop at a certain store then I think they should definitely open a shop up because they have one heck of a dedicated fan base
Jimmienomam, it wouldn't be a proper complaint thread on here if people didn't add something along the lines of "none of my family or thousands of friends/Facebook friends will EVER shop here again because they all do what I say" (something like that). It's the same thing over and over and over and over on these threads. I swear that there must be a website somewhere that has these complaint templates for people to use.

Hi rnhuch,
Not getting a comparable refrigerator as a replacement would be frustrating for anyone, and I am truly sorry if the terms of this plan are not clear enough.
As the other users have pointed out we would not replace an item covered by one of our service plans with any product that costs more than the customer paid us for the item being replaced.
If the comparable product does cost more than the customer paid we would issue them store credit in the amount that they paid; to then be used towards any replacement item they want.
I do see that in light of the terms of your service plan you have instead chosen to continue with the repair of the refrigerator, and I show that we should be repairing this unit today. I will check on your repair tomorrow, and follow up on this thread.
Thanks for posting,
