Warrenty help

I was just wondering if something happened to my Ipod touch 1st generation and I had purchased a warrenty but I lost the reciept what can they do about it. Also I purchased my ipod from a Best Buy Mobile store in a mall.

Actually, a few of the stand alone stores did have iPod Touches available, but I think it was on a store by store basis, and had to be ordered by the store manager.

 

From the explination I got from a Stand Alone store rep, they had them available for people who were wanting the iPhone, but didn't qualify for an AT&T contract, or had too high of a deposit required for the contract.

Hey sweetygrlhc,

If you purchased Geek Squad® Black Tie Protection or a Performance Service Plan (PSP) for your iPod, then you would only need to bring the unit to the repair counter at your local Best Buy® store if you are ever in need of service or support. The store would then ship it to one of our off-site service centers for repairs.

As far as obtaining a copy of the original receipt is concerned, either your local retail store or the Best Buy Mobile stand-alone store should be able to print you a replacement. Just keep in mind that you may need to provide additional information regarding the sale (date, method of payment, etc.) if an associate is unable to locate the purchase using your telephone number.
