Manufacturer Warranties and Protection Plans

I received a new iPad2 from my son last week. He want us to be able to talk with him and our grandkds on facetime. It is sweet!! He did get it at best Buy.

I don't think there was a added warranty with it. Could I get one through geek Squad and how much woud it cost?
