Warranty- What it true in the warranty?

I bought a computer in April of 2008 it never worked right but it took me awhile to conclude that my freezes were all related and not any fault of mine.  I took it in during August to have my problem corrected.  Almost 3 months later and 4 repairs it  is still not fixed nor do I have it in my possession.  Best Buy has had it in their possession longer than I have.  Needless to say they don't know what is wrong with it and they claim that that the ..."after the 4 repair we will replace it" clause doesn't come into play for me.  Why?  Because they state, mind you the warranty does not state this, that a repair is hardware only, they must install new hardware.  So what have they been doing for the last 3 months?  I know they haven't repaired it.  When will this end and my warranty be up held?  Take it from me, don't buy the warranty, go through the manufacturer.
