Warranty Transfer

I purchased a ipad from a individual and I need to know how to transfer the warrenty into my name.  Unfortunatly we are not on speaking terms.  I have a copy of the reciept with all of the necessary information on it.  What steps do I need to take to transfer this warranty?

From what I remember, he/she will have to do the transfer, so you most likely will have to deal with him/her.
