K I bought the PRP I'm pretty sure for my ipod shuffle (it was 8 dollars for the warranty so i think it was PRP), but my question is can I take my current shuffle back for a completely different mp3 player, well like get the best buy credit, and use it towards a new one. I was able to to this when I got the same plan for my Zune and returned it for an ipod classic 3 months later. All that happend was it voided the current warranty so I was out the 40 I spent on the warranty, but I was able to get the classic (well 200 of credit and i spent 50 more to get the 250 dollar classic). If this helps at all, when I took my shuffle back when it broke a few months ago, the guy said "You still want the same item right?" So i assume I have the option to get something else, but maybe not.
Thanks!

If you had taken it back multiple times and not received a replacement, then it was being serviced under the Performance Service Plan (PSP), not the PRP. It was replaced under the no lemon policy, which provides a replacement after three qualifying repairs and a diagnosis indicating a need for a fourth qualifying repair.
For a replacement to be issued under a PRP, the unit must be defective. It doesn't serve as an extended exchange policy. I can assure you it has always been this way.
