Hi BUCKET1,
I do see that you purchased this receiver on 9/11/2011, and I can understand you wanting it exchanged after only owning it for this long. The store is correct that after your return or exchange period of 30 days has expired we would have to have the unit sent off for service if it is found to be defective.
I do see that this store has now sent the receiver out for service, that the service center received the unit on 11/17/2011, that they have ordered the part necessary to repair it, and that we are currently waiting on this part being shipped to this service center.
I have emailed the manager of your technician asking him to do whatever he can to get you a working receiver as soon as possible. Once I hear back from this manager I will post back to this thread.

Hi BUCKET1,
I did hear back from the manager of your technician, and he has said that at this point we would have to attempt the repair of the receiver. He said they should have the part needed by 11/29, and will continue to update me on this repair. I have also asked this manager if we can ship this receiver back to your local store via expedited shipping once this repair is complete, and if this is possible I will let you know. I will continue to check on this, and update this thread with any new information.

I got an email from your technician's manager stating the unit is now repaired, and it is shipping back to the store. I will follow-up once the store has received it.
