I am writing to let everyone know how absolutly horrible my experience has been with bestbuy and their extended warranty plan. I purchased the extended warranty for four years for $199.00 i recently had a problem with my tv. i went into bestbuy here in vero beach florida and tried to get them to honor the warranty and exchange my broken tv for a comparable model. the manager was extremely rude and disrespectful to myself and my wife. i was told by mark the manager that he would do nothing for us without the tv (even though we explained to him in the past when we had to replace the tv that best buy had come to our house brought our new tv and taken the old one) he then told us he would charge us 70.00 to come out and get the serial number off the tv. they are now trying to give us a tv that is not even close to comparable. we originally bought a 800.00 tv that was discounted due to best buy selling our tv onine on black friday. we had a friend drive two hours to pick up our tv. so to make up for the inconvience they discounted and delivered our tv two weeks later. so now they are trying to give us a tv that is only 649.00 or 619.00 and is not even close to comparison. it does not have all of the hdmi hookups and is an LG not Samsung.
We are really upset and dissatified with this whole situation. We used to be very happy customers and will no longer shop for our electronics at best buy. We have referred and brought friends and family to best buy and spent close to 10 grand. We also tried to get our money back and go else where but again they refused.

The only thing I want BB todo is replace my Tv with a comparable Tv( I paid for the extra protection to cover what ever would happen in the future) the tv,s offerd are not comparable they say the LG is i spoke to best buy sales staff and they told me Lg is at the bottom and samsung is top two . my tv has more hdmi input,s so would you call that a comparable exchange called corporate they said that tv,s depreciate .Idon,t care about price i would like the same quailty and comparison

we bought a samsung 50in plasma 450 series. ALSO the purchase price is only lower because of best buy mistake.When we purchased our original tv we paid for it and told them we would pick it up at 11.00 because we had no way to get it home they said that was fine we called a friend he drove 2 hour,s when he got there we went into the store and they told us to drive around to the back to pick it up we gave the guy the paper work we waited a half hour he came out and saidthey did not have our tv he sent us back in we spoke to the manager and he said they had sold our tv on line and had shipped it out .So should we be punished for there mistake they gave us a dicount because of their mistake.That dose not change the comparable to the tv we had does it

also if you read the complaints in here you will find a statement made buy a best buy community coordator tht best buy never uses the original purchase

Correct, a comparable SKU is determined via similar specifications, not purchase price. However, your fulfillment can still not exceed your original purchase amount.

Thank,s for your response the problem i have is this purchase price when we purchased our tv we paid a higher price then bestbuy sold our tv on us so at their disscreation they refunded us some via lower purchase price NOT OUR FAULT THAT SHOULD BE ON BEST BUY not us when we purchased the warranty the told us that if they ever had to replace it under warranty it would be a upgrade not a down gradebuy the way whoes comparasion are these best buy
