That's it with Best Buy. I give up. This will be my last purchase from Best Buy

I have a Gateway P-7811FX with a defect on Power. It's very easy to loose when I wiggle the power cord (2 times left and right). The defect is recongized by a Geek Squad member in Mission Veijo. A CR is contacting me and quite helpful to provide me what I can get and what store I should go for exchange. I've been very patient and willing to compromise with a weaker model.

Yet, when I went to the Best Buy store in Costa Mesa, they treated me as a liar. A Geek Squad member even said that he had service with me (the same person) for this same laptop regarding to wifi issue something. I was so pissed because this laptop I only got it exchanged in Mission Veijo, it's the first time I brought this laptop into this store. To prove that the laptop DC power jack isn't defect, the manager shaked the laptop to see if there is any disconnection in power. He even (i think he did that by accident) hit the laptop on the table. The laptop is fine just a light scratch on the cover. i'm fine with that. just they miss the point. it'll be stop working if the power cord is wiggled. Just tell me, any normal user when moving laptop from one place to another place, will the power cord be adjusted/aligned/or wiggled. For my laptop, when the power cord is moved, it will automatically be pushed out. so done it twice will automatically disconnect the power. I always have to carry my battery because of that reason. Since they say that it's not defect, they refuse an exchange.

That's it for me. I'm not going to exchange from Best Buy. I'm requesting them a written statement from Best Buy that states that my notebook is not a defect one. I'm still waiting. In the store, I asked that Geek Squad if he could confirm me that it's not a defect. He tried to ignore my question by just saying it's normal to have such a loose connection between power cord and power jack. I need a written statement. I contacted Gateway directly and they said that it may be a defect and they created a service for me. If they can fix my laptop, that means it's a real defect and Best Buy fails to honor the protection plan that I purchased for this notebook. It cost me time and stress just for this 1.2K notebook. Now really piss me off. Helk, I don't care if you exchange me a better notebook with much higher price. I don't care if you give me any coupon or refund. It's not just money. It's more than that. It's honor. I'm so angry to write probably now. All I need is a written statement from Best Buy to state that my laptop has no defect for the power. If I'm wrong, I will apologize. If Best Buy wrong, I'll initiate further actions. I'm so pissed now.
