I bought a 46" Insignia tv toward the end of december. It kept shutting off on its own. I finally called Best Buy and they connected me with a contracted repair service and hour from our home. This was on June 1st. They couldn't fix the problem in my home so they took it to their shop. They said they had to order the part. This was on June 8th. It is now June 25th and I called them. They said the part has not arrived yet! Two weeks and three days later and they still don't have the part?!!! Let alone begin fixing it? This tv is only 6 months old! That part should have been express shipped to the repair shop. I told them this and the said "Best buy will not warrant express shipping". Well I don't think I will warrant buying from Best buy in the future either! I had a similar problem when I bought my sony vaio there. In the shop 3 times in one year and I had to buy an extended warranty for that! Are the products that shoddy, or am I in the unlucky bunch?

Unbelievable! I just talked to the repair service and they said they had gotten the part and it Didn't work! Best buy told them to have the part they ordered sent out to be repaired! They said another two to three weeks! I cannot Believe this! Send your tv to be repaired, then they put a repaired part in it?!! And you wait almost 2 months for it, when the tv is only 6 months old! I will Never purchase from best buy again. Wish I could just get my money back and go elsewhere. In the meantime we pay for the services for tv but without a tv!

This would be upsetting to anyone after only owning their TV for six months, and I’m sure the fact that this repair has been almost a month long know is very frustrating.
I didn’t like hearing that because of this experience, and your experience with your Vaio, you will no longer be a customer of ours. Thanks Allan for getting on this and getting me a replacement no. on Monday. Today is Tues. and the repair shop hasn't called about returning the tv to me so that I can exchange it for a new one... I finally called them and they said they will call me and let me know, but probably sometime Thursday. Gee I would have liked to get one today, being as I haven't had one in a month. Oh, well, we will see how this all pans out. Better Late than never.
