Samsung Refrigerator bottom mouth freezer

To whomever at Besy Buy,

I have a refrigerator bottom mount model # RB195B5BB that I have had problems with for months now and always the same problem, the ice maker doesn't work correctly and the fridge part will freeze my food. There is also water that collects under the vegetable bins that also freezes. I have an extended warranty on this fridge and they are now on the 4th visit to repair the same thing. My record keeping started on 10/2 /08, and I have been on the phone with 3 supervisors (who by the way said they would call me back and they have not). The last time the repair person on here was 1/21/09 and gave me a slip that said unrepairable. I started asking for a replacement refrigerator on 10/2/08 when it was only the 3rd visit for the same problem. I have pretty much been on the phone everyday with Best Buy with no results. Massachusetts has a lemon law and I will pursue that as well as filing complaints with the Attorney Generals Office and The Better Business Bureau. Why have extended warranty if they make you just thru hoops.

Re: Samsung Refrigerator bottom mouth freezer

I been having the same problem and they do not do anything about it. They don't even give you a completed work order so you can file the claim for the food spoilage. They try to say that if you call within 90 days from the first call that it is still considered as the same repair but yet you are calling in again to have it fixed yet again. So in reality they just give customers the run around and hope that we get tired and go buy a different fridge.

Re: Samsung Refrigerator bottom mouth freezer

We had a repairman come out to fix our Whirlpool clothes washer.  I asked him about brands, and he said the only brand you really need to avoid is Samsung applicance because they refuse to work with the U.S. parts distribution infrastructure.  He says they are probably fine, functionally, but god help you if you ever need to repair a Samsung appliance because often times it take 6 to 8 weeks to get parts from Korea.
