Really disappointed in Best Buy and Panasonic

Bought a Panasonic Plasma TC-P50S1   3 months ago from Best Buy.  When I picked up the set you could tell the box had been opened. Two of the "Quick" plugs were gone and when I opened the TV it didn't have the plastic pull off protection that it should have.  The guy assured me it was new.  Right ...

 

Now I set in my living room without a TV for over 1 week waiting for someone in Indy to order parts.  Pretty bad that a 1300.00 dollar purchase will only get you 3 months of service.  I think Best Buy sold me a floor demo, return or a refurbished piece of junk.  Never again will I buy at Best Buy.

Why did you even opt to take that one? I would have said no and I want another one.

I did ask the guy for another one but he thought that was the last one and told me bring it back if there was any problems. It was getting close for the pickup area to close so I figured it would be OK, and it was for 3 months.  Never again will I stand for a beat up box.

Hi BillPugh,

I’m sure having problems with your TV after only owning it for three months is disheartening, and I can completely understand your concern if the TV was missing parts and opened when you picked it up from the store.

I do see that you purchased the TV on BestBuy.com in July of this year to be picked up by you in your local store, and I can assure you that you paid for a new TV not an open box item.

I looked into your repair of this TV. I called the local service center  repairing this TV and they said they sent a technician out yesterday, the technician determined that there was a loose ribbon cable connection, reseated the cable, and determined your TV was functioning properly.
