I FEEL LIKE I WAS READING MY OWN STORY! I too bought the LG WM 0532 and unlike you however I made it 4 years before it "LE Coded" me into a nightmare of BB service people who have no idea how to fix these machines. They replace Hal sensors, they tell you it's the stater, the rotor, yadda yadda but when, in my case, the 5 year warentee was about to expire, they sent out a guy who said he changed the sensor then 92 days later of sometimes error sometimes a week without it it totally stopped with the LE code everytime 3 minutes into any cycle.
I called BB and they said sorry for the 9 months of problems but as of last month you no longer have a warantee. LG corperate said that they would love to help but I had to go through BB. BB would not contact anyone for me. In their words... "Sorry for your trouble but if it is a lemon it's LG's lemon now, we paid our part."
So, now I finally after no less than 10 calls to both BB and LG I get a service rep from LG that informs me I'm still under LG parts warantee. (funny how 3 different supervisors I had talked to from LG never fessed up to thaty, in fact one gave me what he called "their assistance parts department" phone number and they wanted to charge me $200 for a rotor and stater assembly) Also this rep from LG gave me the number of a certified LG appliance shop and the guy there said LG would cover the parts as well.
HERE IS THE REASON I WROTE THIS HOWEVER: the above mentioned tech told me he thought the problem was the drain pump. I have read all the logs here and elsewhere of how it's this switch to the hal sensor, the stater, the rotor, too big of a load, too much soap, wrong kind of soap, ect. He says the pump not working properly or intermitant can cause the error and perhaps cause the on again off again error code until at last it fails all together. Whatever it is a LOT of us are getting it and I too am tired of laundrymat sitting when i paid a fortune for LG and their hunk of metal.
As a last note, the service man who was here last and tried to rip me off, told me to buy a simple to frills top loading whirlpool or whatever with as little LED and electronic gadgets as possible. He says they still go 25 years without ever needing him and his service.
