I am with you!  As a silver rewards member I would go out of my way to buy everything from Best Buy,  It was my favorite store.  I dont believe I will be doing that any more.  My 50 inch Plasma TV is just over a year old and went out.  I called and told them and the best they could do was send someone out in 2 weeks.  I told them I would bring the TV to the store and of course they wouldn't allow it.  The girl at the customer service number I called said she would call me back to try to get a sooner date to send someone out and never heard anything.  I told her it was rediculous to wait 2 weeks all she said was that the warranty only said they would send someone out to look at it, it doesnt say they would do it in a particular time frame.  So to make a long story short I will not worry about being loyal to Best Buy any more because I see how their loyal customers get treated!!!  After reading EVERYONE elses posts I have a feeling this is only the beginning of my troubles and that I may not have my TV fixed for a long time!

Hi shslsu99,

I agree completely that waiting two weeks to have the problem with your TV diagnosed is a long time to wait, and if this was my TV I would not be happy with having to wait.

It is not true that a store would refuse to ship your TV out for repair, but it would likely take just as long if not longer to get your TV repaired by sending it out for service. When you called to set up service on your TV you should have been given the next available appointment that the technician that services your area has available.
