RROD problems on and off. Question about warranty!!

for the past month i been getting the rrod, it happens every fews hours or minutes after its turned

on but after a while it will work again.i checked the wires and everything is fine. i just called

bestbuy and they sending 

me a box in the mail. so if it doesnt happen when they check it out, will they still exchange and

send me the giftcard? i returned a xbox once before on 7/03/07, had a 2 year warranty. but they 

made be buy another warranty cause they only had elite 360 in stock so i had to pay a little bit more

to cover the price, the receipt says about exchange on it.. also how long does it take to get the

giftcard?

 

also, i threw away the original headset cause it wasnt working, but i have a white headset i can 

send with the xbox, will that be alright?

Whenever Best Buy® exchanges a product under a Product Replacement Plan (PRP) we require that all of the contents of the original package (controllers, wires, etc.) be included in the box shipped to us. If one or more of those parts have been replaced, however, the replacement part would need to be included as well.

Once the product’s been received then, our technicians perform a series of extensive diagnostics to confirm a hardware failure. As long as we can replicate the problem, you can typically expect a gift card/voucher in the mail within 2-3 weeks. If we are unable to replicate it though, we would unfortunately need to ship the console back to you.
