Manufacturer Warranties and Protection Plans

I bought an ipod touch, an xbox 360, and a ps3 from best buy. i was just wondering what my warranty covered? I was not briefed on the warranty from my local store so i was just wondering what would it protect against. How is my ps3 and 360 covered? How is my ipod touch covered? is it covered against heat and dust caused malfunctions?

You just say your "warranty", without any additional details. So, I'll address this question in two ways:

Mfg. warranty: This will generally only cover mfg. defects.

GS Black Tie Protection plan: It covers mfg. defects, dust, heat, humidity, power surge, and normal wear and tear. With the iPod, it'll also cover one battery replacement.

Like Nokia mentioned, the answer to your question really depends upon whether or not you purchased an additional service plan for your iPod, Xbox 360 and PS3 at the time of sale. Product-specific benefits may also vary depending upon when you purchased them if you opted for service plan coverage. Remember though that while most factory warranties and our own service plans include coverage for normal wear and tear, they do not include coverage of any kind for accidental damages!
