Okay, I bought an MP3 player about 3 months ago for $220 dollars and the sound on the MP3 player in now defective. I was wondering if I can take it back to Best Buy and get a different MP3 and just pay the difference in price.
For example:
My MP3 is: $220
Other MP3 is: $250
Can I just pay the 30 dollars in difference or what will happen?

hey cmothaf -
There are several variables that will influence what can be done with your mp3 player. Things like whether or not you purchased a Geek Squad Black Tie Protection Plan or a Performance Service Plan on the unit, what the manufacturer warranty will cover and what actually is causing the defect will all attribute to what the store is able to do for you. There may be a chance that the store is able to allow you to upgrade if they were to perform any type of exchange, however this would again have contributing factors. My best advice to you is to contact your local store and discuss this with them. Be sure to bring your receipt and any other pertinent paperwork you might have.
I hope this helps!
