Hey copius –  

As a person that loves video games, I wish that this was an option!  However, the terms of the Product Replacement Plan (PRP) allow for an exchange of the same title should your game be defective.  This does not allow for a “trade-in” type of deal at the majority of our stores.  I say majority because there are a very small amount of stores in the Chicago area which participate in a game trade-in program. 

I have found that first renting a game to see if my daughters and I are going to like it, then purchasing it if the title is a hit, was a great option for my family.   I use the service “Game Fly” and find it to be an excellent value!  You might want to check it out!  I believe we even offer a starter package in our stores!
