You guys say how much best buy has crappy warrentys and customer service but in the end its your fault for not reading it throughly and being ingnorant..  And filling this forum with loads of lies.

 

My laptop keyboard broke.. I called gateway for the replacement keyboard they sent in 2 days I went to best buy the next told them I have Parts And Service deal they installed replacement keyboard in 45 mins.. Great service, Great Help, Very Satisfied...

I fully understand my warranty and am not ignorant.  They did fix the problem of my graphics card the first time they just couldn't get the computer put back together correctly.  It did come in runnable condition just not useable condition.  You are always going to hear the bad more than the good.  Great to hear that you had good service and I am sure if more people posted stories like your's it wouldn't seem so negative here but this is another option to get help with bad services and people will use it as such.

If you purchase extended warranty (advanced plan) which cover everything including accidental damage and you pay for replacement keyboard from gateway, I'll be speechless. Well, if that is your case, I'll wonder why i bother to purchase extended warranty from Best Buy anyway. Tell me how you feel if you bring in your laptop for service and they treat you as a liar.

I think this issue is a two way street.On one hand, the employees should all be consistant with answers and they all should be accurate in their knowledge, but on the other hand, you should be fully aware with whatever you purchase and read over EVERYTHING you purchase or sign.

 

I know when I would buy extended plans at other stores, I would read over EVERYTHING i purchased in the brochures.
