i bought an HP Dv 9235 nr from bestbuy,with an international 3 years plan warranty , last week while i was working had a black screen , restarted the laptop , got a screen with all coloured lines , restarted it again , got in with safe mode uninstalled the graphic card driver to update it but after the uninstall restarted it again & remained with the black screen now , my question the receipt i got is not clear at all cuz its been a while since i bought it & the ink got blurry , i want to use the warranty i bought , its international & nowdays im staying in Jordan ,My questions:
where can i fix it &?
&i got the receipt but it cannot be read cuz the ink is fade , i got it in 2007 & the warranty supposed to be until 2010 , where in the site can i check about the warranty ?

Zash, first off welcome to the forums! You can take your laptop into any Best Buy and they will be able to help you out. You need to go to the Geek Squad so they can start working on the laptop for you. You can have customer service reprint the receipt or you can go to this site to check on the warranty and see what one you have. https://blacktie.geeksquad.com/ Hope this helps!

as i said nowdays im not living in the states , im living in jordan ( middle east) , here they dont have any bestbuys .

Sorry about that I misread your original post. The other thing that I would recommend then would be give a call to 1-800GEEKSQUAD and see what they could be able to do for you. You may be able to ship your laptop to a location to have it serviced or at least checked out.

thanks for the phone number , first thing in the morning i will call them ,
but about the warranty , i didnt have an account in the reward zone , anyway i created one but i cant find any place where i can know when does my warranty expires

If you can see the service plan number you should be able to register it and at least get the info off of there. If not there is a place that you can chat with a representative to get the plan number. Sorry I do not have the exact steps to get there.

Sorry Jeremy, that's not the procedure for an international GSBTP plan.
Zash, you'll have to contact BB's international PSP department. To do so, dial your country's exit code + 80055656565. The employees there will direct you to an authorized repair center near you. You'll go there, have the computer repaired, pay the bill, then send the bill to an address the employees give you. BB will send out a reimbursement check.

i tried to call the number u gave me but it seems that its not correct , anyway im trying to check the receipt again & again i could read VAL# & a PSP # & a costumer service pin ( i dont know wts that ) does that help in anyway ?
cuz actually i can go back to the states at least 4 a couple of months & i really do need the laptop
