Playstation Portable Warranty Returnable? Not anymore

8 months ago, I have bought a Playsation portable 3000, Last 2 weeks ago I recived an error on my PsP.  My warranty is still inacted to both manufacture and Best Buy.  Anyways, When I went to Best Buy in Aurora CO, to return and get a refund or replacement I was sent to Geek Squad to check the error out.  I knew something was wrong, because I came to return or replace the PsP.  When I went to the Geek Squad guy he told me there was a small scratch on the screen, However he pressed on the screen of the PsP turned into a crack and many dead pixels and stuck pixels appered on the screen that was NOT on the screen when I was returning the PsP.  The PsP warrenty which voids both the manufacters as well as Best Buy's, he did this on purpose so I could not get a refund  or replacement of the PsP 3000.  I told the manager at the store of what happened but was told he could not do anything.  I stormed out of the best buy afterwards. Is there anyway I could besides buying a new one or having someone fix the screen for another 200 bucks?  Thanks

Hello Thorinoakin,

I am sorry to hear that your PlayStation Portable (PSP) has stopped working correctly. I was surprised to read about your troubles that you encountered with the Aurora, CO store’s Geek Squad® when bringing your PSP for assistance. 

 

Since you were within your one-year manufacturer warranty, it is great that you brought the PSP to your local store to be checked. In this case, the Geek Squad® Agent would have to take a look at the errors to determine what options are available for repair or replacement.  It was disappointing to hear you indicate that the Geek Squad® Agent may have caused the damage to your PSP’s screen however.
