So I'm planning to purchase a PS3 in the coming days and was doing a bit of searching on the boards about the extended plans. Through my search I found that the PS3 has the optional PRP, but when I look online it has the optional Geek Squad Black Tie thing. Is there a difference? What happens if I need to bring in my PS3, will it be replaced if the problems can be "recreated", or will it be serviced?
Also regarding the price match, does BB price match bundles, like buy an 80gig PS3 and it comes with MLB 09 and Quantum of Solace bluray? (W*LMA*T is currently offering that).
I tried to search for all the answers but could not find anything conclusive.
TIA!

Well the Xbox 360 sucks for playing DVD's but there are so many games you can play and the graphics are sick and you can play a lot of original Xbox games as well. The PS3 you cannot play PS One or PS2 games which sucks. I would definitely do a lot of research and pick the best one for you.

Thanks for the replies! I think my question was answered, but have one more, if they can’t repair it what happens?
Also I have done plenty of research and I know that I’m going to buy a PS3, for me its the right fit and for me its the best value. It sucks that I found out the new Splinter Cell is Xbox 360 only but that is just one title so I just have to deal. I have confidence in the future of the PS3!
Now I just need to figure out if the 2 year GSBTP is worth it when there is already a 1 year warranty from Sony. Any comments on if $59.99 is worth it to buy the plan? Any experiences good or bad?
