I stated above that I purchased it at the end of May, I believe. It was my birthday present to myself. I think I purchased it on the 30th of May, this year.

Being larger than 32", you would need to contact 1-888-BestBuy to schedule a technician to come to your home and repair the television.

For the sake of my sanity, let's say that the problem ended up NOT being the TV afterall. Had to do with some sort of issue with time warner. Will I still be liable for the $150 charge for them to come out?

If the unit is under warranty and no problem is found, yes you would have to pay the fee to cover the tech coming out for a "no fault found".

Christ, I think I'll deal with the sound issue, since both of you guys are blaming eachother... nothing further your honor.

If you have replaced the TW box and the issue still persists, the issue is most likely in the television.

I feel like I'm going back on all the bad things I said about Time Warner in this next statement, but, they came out for free and will again, whether the box was at fault or not. It's kind of an odd practice to not allow me to bring the TV down to the store for inspection, isn't it? I would think that the majority of the "service call" costs are incurred due to the tech having to drive there, fuel, time, wear and tear on vehicles, right? Kinda seems like a trap. I'm no expert, which is why I am calling on you guys. But don't you think 150 bucks for a few minutes of diagnostic time is EXTREME? All the customer is left with, is "i hope it IS actually the tv, so I don't have to fork out $150 bucks for them to blame someone else." Here's my dillema, I've already had Time Warner out here, they said they fixed their side, and did it for free. Who's to say they aren't lying? But there's really nothing in it for them to lie to me... They came for free, replaced my box for free, even GAVE me a new HDMI cable, for free! Who's to say that when the "tech" shows up to my house, he wont just blurt out what seems to be the obvious response and say "oh, it's your Cable box, better call Time Warner, that'll be 150 bucks, sir." I'll exhaust all of my options with them first, ie changing brands of STB's. If what you said, Adam, is indeed true that since it's over 32", I cannot bring it in. I have to fork out 150 bucks to have someone come out and "diagnose" the problem. Seems kinda ridiculous that I can't bring it to the store which is less than 5 minutes from my house. I mean, it's not like it's too big to move, afterall, I did BUY it there. I took it home from there.

You can take the TV in to have it looked at, they just cannot submit it for service from the store.

Wait, now you say I CAN bring it in to "have it looked at". Are they going to diagnose my problem? And if so, I'll bring it home, call the 888 number you gave me earlier, have to schedule an appointment, wait a week or twelve, then send it in for repairs? Which could take a few months? Or by your definition of "having it looked at", would they look at it, and do the typical BestBuy thing and go "Yep, it's a TV alright, Big, Rectangle, and Black." That'll be 75 dollars.

What I am saying is they can hook it up and help diagnose the problem. That is only a helpful solution, you can also contact Panasonic directly and see what warranty services they offer.
