On Day 23:
The service center dropped the old tv back at my house to await the arrival of my new one. Went to bed after they dropped it off.
Woke up yesterday evening and had a nice voicemail from Brian Dunn, CEO Best Buy. Now that is what I call customer service!
I admit this did not go as fast as I would have liked it to, but after suffering through the days, I can see why it does take so long.

New Samsung PN58B650 plasma television arrived today around noon. Set up and running. All seems well.
