PRP Question for Xbox 360

I have a delima, I recently (less than a year ago) had to replace my 360. When I bought the new one I purchased the PRP Plan.

Just today I started getting the error code E-74 which is a hardware failure.

To make matters worse, I cannot, find the receipt or anything.

What do I need to do?

Also, is my 360 even covered for this type of hardware failure?

I want to thalk anyone and everyone for their responses in advance.

Re: PRP Question for Xbox 360

That's why you get a Reward Zone card, it will track all your purchases.

But since you have a service plan, Cust. Service, or most Geek's should be able to find a dupicate receipt for you.

As for the error code, I'm not 100% certain and I'll pass that to someone else :smileyhappy:

Re: PRP Question for Xbox 360

Thank you for your reply.

I do have a rewards zone card, however I can only view purchases from the last 90 days online. Is there a way to view ALL purchases?

Re: PRP Question for Xbox 360

A reward zone agent should be able to pull up your purchase history, as long as you used your reward zone card toward the purchase of your XBox. Even if all you personally can pull up is the last 90 days, a RZ agent can bring up purchase history from years back. So, I would definitely call in and talk to Reward Zone. :-) Good Luck!

Re: PRP Question for Xbox 360

I should also mention that if you have a PRP/PSP your information would be in the system as well. All you should have to provide is your phone number, verify some information with the phone agent, and they should be able to pull up your PRP information, including purchase date and payment method, PRP expiration and that sort of stuff. :-)

Re: PRP Question for Xbox 360

Hey polscifreak,

In addition to what AgentGeorgeW and Miranda mentioned, there are at least two other ways to obtain PRP information if you’ve lost your receipt:

• Give our toll-free PRP hotline a call at 1-888-539-6883
• Fill out an e-mail submission form on the Contact Us page of BestBuy.com

You can even file a claim over the phone if you give our PRP hotline a call, which may wind up saving you a trip to your local store!

Now, as long as this error message occurred as a result of normal wear-and-tear, I personally see no reason why your Xbox 360 wouldn’t be covered by your PRP. If you have any questions or concerns about it, however, I would strongly recommend speaking with an in-store Geek Squad® agent for further assistance. They can perform a series of diagnostics to verify the problem, and should be able to tell you what your options are within a matter of minutes.

Hope this helps you out and welcome to the forums!
