Hello,
I'm thinking of driving across the border to purchase a GPS (one they don't sell up here in Stalag Luft). If I purchase a PRP or PSP and I have a problem with the device will I be able to use the plan from here? or would I have to drive back to the U.S. or can I not purchase a plan? I already checked with the manufacturer and I am covered with their one year warranty.
thanks for your help.
Cheers,

Hi stern_howie,
Welcome to our forum! If you purchase a GPS in the U.S., you may certainly buy a Geek Squad Black Tie Protection Plan (GSBTP - these replaced PRP and PSP in September 2008), and it will cover your product in Canada. To obtain service while in Canada, you would need to call (888)539-6883 for assistance in locating a service provider who will provide you with an estimate. If that estimate is less than 100% of your purchase price, you would have it repaired then submit for reimbursement of the repair cost. If the estimate is more than your purchase price, you would submit for reimbursement of the product cost. Please note that Best Buy Canada locations are unable to support U.S. purchases with a U.S. GSBTP.
Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions!

Hi Elizabeth,
Thank you for your response. Looks like I'll be spending some $ in one of your stores soon.
