No Lemon confusion

Hi, Does anyone know if the repair center tries to fix your computer even if it has been sent for a no lemon review? I am trying to stay calm as my computer has obviously been in for repair a lot and hence is supposedly in for a no lemon "review" now. I was told I would hear from someone within a week and a week has passed. I have checked the status online and though I was told the computer would be "overnighted" to the repair location, it was not received until the following Tues (I brought it on a Friday so I understand the weekend factor, but not until Tues?). Now, the status says "parts ordered" and I thought I was supposed to hear from someone. I called the store and that is what they keep telling me, too. Anyone have any clarification of this policy? Thank you!!

Re: No Lemon confusion

The service center must first check to make sure that three qualified repairs have been performed, and that it requires a fourth qualified repair before approving it for NL exchange.

Re: No Lemon confusion

My point here is that I feel like I am getting mxed messages. They told me it was being sent for the no lemon review and now they've ordered parts. Do they try and make the fourth repair before determining lemon status? I am getting frustrated ad I have been withoutt PC 10 weeks since Jan 1. I just want it to work again...

I am not entirely familiar with the process, but I believe that if it qualified for NL, parts would not be ordered. It's possible that you didn't qualify.

That very well could be, but a call would be nice if that is what I was told to expect. The repair status option on the website seems delayed.

Re: No Lemon confusion

Hey again halfpint545,

It’s my understanding that repairs are only initiated if the service center determines a product does not qualify for a No Lemon exchange.  I have some good news for you though, so make sure to check your private messages!
