I purchased a DISPLAY Nikon D3000 last August. When I purchased the camera I spent $100 extra on an EXTENDED WARRANTY from best buy. I was told by the man who sold me the camera that the one year factory warranty would only cover things that the manufacturer did wrong, so I purchased the three-year exteneded warranty because the bestbuy employee told me that if anything were to happen to my camera within those three years they would fix it, and if it was something they could not fix they would replace my camera. I was recently in bestbuy and handed my camera over to geek squad who sent my camera in and was working on it, When I sent my camera in I was told by a Geek Squad employee the same thing, that if they could not fix my camera I would be given a new one. I was tracking my cameras progress when I got to a step that said I needed to call Geek Squad, after calling I was told by another bestbuy employee that my camera had corrosion inside and there wasn't anything they could do to fix it, I was also told that my warranty did not cover that. So I would like to know why I was told this if it is not true? I spent over $600 dollars on my camera and I am being told that there is nothing anyone can do. I am not a happy customer!

Hi Ccg11,
I truly am sorry for any incorrect expectations you had of the Geek Squad Black Tie Protection (GSBTP) plan for your Nikon D3000 DSLR, and it is completely understandable that you would be upset after believing the problem with your camera would be covered.
I was not able to pull this up, and it would be impossible for me to say if this was handled properly without looking at your service order. I am sending you a private message to gather some personal information. Thanks for posting,
