Also if this never got resolved for you as a little bit of information, the reason why she said no lemon, is because its called the no lemon policy and thats just how we say it on the phone.

OH! Thank you Abomb! That little bit of wisdom helps in understanding. I did have a level of pucker-factor when I heard it. But I did take her word for it that it was not a negative term in my seeking of a solution to the problem at hand.
Chapter III
Just spoke with Agent A.N.G.E.L., a loaner TV is in the pipe, scheduled for delivery on Monday 01/17/2010. 10-2 time frame.
*Dial*
"Hello? This is Agent A.N.G.E.L. WIth Geeksquad."
e
I am returning your call, you called earlier?
"Oh yes, let me look you up in our commadore-64 database."
"What is your phone number"
(I read it off to her from my remaining memory cell)
Agent A.N.G.E.L. "Oh yes, excuse me as I am having to wing it, our normal person (You work for a place called 'geek squad' and you have a NORMAL person there? @.@) is out and I am taking their position for the moment."
*Note to self: This is not does not build hope.*
OKay, so what do you need to know Agent A.N.G.E.L.?
Agent A.N.G.E.L.: "Well, I have your address at <PSYCHE! Thought I'd print THAT? FOoled you...> is Monday between 10 and 2 in the afternoon okay by you?"
Yes, I may take Monday off, I will have to be there. But not to worry. Makes for a three day week-end.
BBY seems to have scored more points.
Oddly, I'm not totally displeased. But it is only chapter III of the adventure in PSP Land.
*grumble* have to put away the bow, now. The service isn't bad enough to make me want to shoot something with a long pointy stick.
Keep reading, more to come I'm sure.
In the mean time, I am opening a bottle of what Mrs Dash (Yeah! I did say it!) says is most appropriate drink for me.
Arrogant Bast@rd Ale.
(Yes it is real)
keep you posted.

Haha! Great to see you are getting it resolved so far! Hopefully everything works for you on Monday.

Gray is the sky as the wind blows, I had been working all night and the trip home was interesting to be sure. But today!
AHH today. Best Buy is going to bring a replacement TV for the increasing hostility of the family.
(Agent A.N.G.E.L.) "Between !0-2 on Monday 18 January 2010."
Her angelic words echo in my tired brain. I long for sleep, but I sit here next to the window looking with a small family person tapping their fingers at me. Reminding me of the words I once sent to the teacher when a conference was asked for after some minor incident with dry ice, water and a plastic soda bottle in school...
I leave the house as the sun sets, travel around the city as the need and desire leads me.
I take folks from their cars and their homes out into the dark of the night
sometimes, but not always I draw their blood as the needs suits me.
E'er the sunrise approaches, I return to my home to rest during daylight.
Such is the life of the one who stands awaiting the 'loaner' tv with the youngest family member impatiently letting me know that time wears on.
It is now 10:55 AM and no word, the storm causes noises that are far from comforting. Alas, Sunset comes far too early and I must once again leave my lair--er-- house again and stalk --- travel! Travel through the night.
Wonder if it is going to be a black and white, analog, 12 inch portable television from the 1970's?
Keep you posted.

*sighs* This is a minor problem.
When the battle lines are drawn and the victim of wrath does something noble and good, does one have an allowance to be upset?
Well, not five minutes after I had last posted. The youngest started jumping up and down- a known black and white van pulled up in the teeth of the storm.
GeekSquad had arrived.
Now the frustration.
Still an Insignia- can't complain. Silly thing is too large to fit in the entertainment center.
Now isn't this a PITA? It now sits cocked to one side-- kitty corner front to back. But the little one has Star Trek playing and is pleased. Kirk is the fave character. Wish it was a character of the stories I have written. :/ But that is the parents bane, anything we do is banal and stupid.
Okay Best Buy, you have acquitted yourself well as of now, let's see what happens on Weds/Thursday. Game is still afoot.
Coffee is brewing, cups are set, but the bow is strung and the arrows are sharpened.
Which shall it be?
Keep you posted.

Of duty at 0400 hours, home by 0500 (AM for you folks that don't count in 24 hour clocks- I'll switch now), in bed for an hour and then early morning chores dig me out of the rack by almost 7AM.
Chores done, back in bed by 8:30 or so..at 9:22 the phone rings.
*Hand snakes out from under covers to pillow and pulls the cordless victim back out of sight*
(Agent Ju Li <any relation to Jet?>) "Hello, are you okay? You sound...never mind, but Mr. Dash, your tv is being replaced, confirmation number eightsevenoneoneeightsixninetwoeighttwoeightthreeo
*Muffled* m'kay. <lips are numb and I think the cat has put his paws in my mouth when I was asleep to keep me from snoring> Who is this?
(Agent Ju Li) "Best Buy."
*muffled* M'kay Mr. Buy....
The conversation degraded from there, I think. It was not my most shining moment of consciousness.
However, when I awoke finally, I find that the dream was no dream.
Coffee is brewed and poured. Bow is unstrung and rests in it's normal 'c' shape and the quiver is hung back on it's hook. I'll go target shooting again sometime, but not today.
Allan (Remember Mr. September?) sent an email confirming the number-- praise his wisdom! In no way could I remember that number set in my state of mind at the time.
Best Buy has come through the night and has acquitted itself on another round. The Insignia is going to have it's dead carcass taken away and a new one brought in its place. The store manager needs to be contacted and the new unit chosen, still, so there is still a minor hurdle coming to deal with, but that seems to be an easy navigation of the choppy waters. We'll see.
So, a thermos, two cups for the coffee and out to meet the store manager.
Keeping a list. Recognition will be due to all those involved.
Keep you posted.

Well Dash, its wonderful to hear that stuffs all falling together. Not only am i happy to see that its going well for you, but i thoroughly enjoy reading your posts!

Abomb, thank you. Today we had good weather, so I went in with the Insignia in hand.
Tonight the crew is watching a Samsung of 32 inches (remember- the previous one was too large. I might get a 34-35 inch tube in there- if they made them)
So weapons are away-- insignia is no longer here and I didn't even get a chance to draw a target's bull's eye on it. Oh well... Another day.
New Samsung, with the most recent experience I bought an extended warranty- four years worth. It was money I could ill afford to spend, but in retrospect, a new unit would have been far more expensive.
Then I nearly fell over, California charges for the electronic disposal-- then taxes you on top of that. I mean, seriously folks? The charge for disposing of the unit is in itself a tax-- then the tag a tax of 8% on that? sheesh... Taxing the tax. There is a joke in that somewhere, but I cannot find it just now.
But on this thread. For those that have followed-- if I have helped in *any* way by doing what I have done, with the grim humor (at first) and willing to show what I did, I am thankful.
I went in this expecting that there would be dead ends and runarounds. I did have some issues-- but with a slightly proactive move or two-- getting a 'lemon' declaration early and even though at one point it was "SIr, it cannot be approved for replacement because the part is ordered and you have an appointment " And asking that it be submitted *anyway* so it was sitting there in the, anticipated, event that the part would not again arrive.
And I was correct. Otherwise I would be frustrated with the backorder-- and still have to wait because there would be another appointment of the good tech to come out.
Get it early, get it in. Good advice. If the tech looks at his order computer-- WATCH him, pay attention. If he looks frustrated? Get the honest answer.
The-Voice-On-The-Phone said they could order it-- yes they can, but folks? Backorder limbo is a real place and will hold your tv hostage.
And the Winter Olympics are coming up!
Don't scream, don't call names or be unsociable. Write your story, get Mr.. September on the job.
Deep breath, be prepared. Prepare for the worst. (Hope for the best)
And whatever... never ever...ever....ever..ever give up! Keep coming back.
With that? I will acknowledge the following folks.
Dorothy who assigned Allan (Mr.. September-- who I truly hope has a good sense of humor. BBY *Best Buy* NOT "Body By Yumm" )
Agent K.T.
Agent A.N.G.E.L
Agent Ju Li
Abomb
Sales Rep "The Greek" Phi Kappa Omega (he was the last in the store I dealt with)
Last but not least. Allan.
Thank you all!
(Oh, and by the way, all names other than those already on the forum have been changed to protect the agents. I know they are well protected, but I gave my layer, too.
From the beginning to now, it was an interesting adventure, to be certain.
Those of you that have read but have not input thoughts or feelings, thank you for following. Hope yours goes as well.
This is my last entry on this thread.
With a courtly bow
Dash
PS, I will hang around and give support and advice if I can. Good luck to y'all and thank you again.

Its great to see that everything finally got resolved. Thats what i like to hear! This is definitely one of the most entertaining to read. And it's definitely great to hear that you are going to be sticking around with us for a little bit.
