Need Some help!! =( about EXCHANGE Policy..

i just bought a new phone from best buy with a new plan from At&T and Black Tie Protection Plan ( march 17, 2012). after two weeks i accidentally drop it on the water. then i brought my iphone to best buy to get it fix but they told me that their going to replaced a refurbished phone.

 

Is it worth it to get a refurbished phone? what if theirs something wrong with the phone that they gave me and i just used it for 3 days. am i still qualified for the return and exchange policy because it hasn't been a month when i purchase it?

Products must be in new condition and not damaged in order to be able to return them under the return policy.

how about refurbished phone, can i still exchange it to a new phone if their a defects on the phone?

Hi buffboy21, 

 

Since it's damaged, you would have it sent in for Rapid Exchange repair under your coverage, which provides you with a refurbished model replacement back within 5 business days. If anything else was to happen within your coverage that necessitates repair, you would continue to receive a refurbished replacement back throughout the lifespan of your plan.

wow i didnt know that :smileysad: man that really suck.. i read about having refurbished phone and i dont think its not good. :smileysad: what if i have the insurance at at&t company. thier saying that if u lost or stolen or damage the phone.. thier going to replaced it with a new iphone is it true.. i really want a new phone :smileysad: not refurbished one. PLEASE HELP!!

It may very well be true, and I can only speak to my own experience with my carrier, but their insurance provides a replacement phone for a cost every time. Granted, it is not the the large sum that purchasing a phone outside of a contract is, but I would still have to pay each and everytime I needed a replacement.

 

I personally would have no problem with a refurbished replacement, but I can understand folks hesitation.

Both of the carriers I have been with have replaced with refurbished phones and you have to pay a cost to do so. I have never received a new phone with carrier insurance.

And remember, that without Black Tie, you'd be purhasing a whle new phone at full price, if that's any consolation to you.
