I am forever grateful that I purchased the extended warranty through Geek Squad....
HOWEVER:
After mulitiple exchanges and repairs I was sent a 1st gen iPod Touch in exchange for a 2nd gen one. Since then there have been multiple minor issues. I really think I deserve a new one. I just feel like everytime I take my iPod in to get checked they say/do the same thing. Send it in for repair or exchange. Then I ended up with an older model than what I had. What can I do? Take it in again????

I agree, but I am not getting satisfaction. Any ideas?

bintmartin,
Like I explained in response to your original thread from September, whenever a product is sent out for service under our rapid exchange program, the replacement model provided in return should always match or exceed the original unit's baseline hardware specifications. This means that if you sent a 16GB iPod Touch out for service, you should receive a 16GB model in return. You may, however, receive a different generation model since product revisions and minor cosmetic differences are not taken into consideration when refurbished models are provided.
Both 1st and 2nd
generation iPod Touch models feature the same amount of memory, the same amount
of RAM and the same basic hardware features, so they're considered
interchangeable for the purchase of our rapid exchange program. Again, this
means that we would only be able to send the unit out for service if it's in
need of repair.
It’s unfortunate if this does not meet your expectations, but rest assured that
the appropriate management teams have already been made aware of the situation.
