Re: Macbook pro 2011 Unibody frame bent. Replace or repair?

That's a good question hydrogen. I didn't even think about that.

Re: Macbook pro 2011 Unibody frame bent. Replace or repair?

To bad I can't provide a photo. Cosmetic is a scratch, small pings and dents not left bottom corner smashed in the lid not closing correctly, the bottom panel not lining up which has a large gap in it or the fact that as of this morning it has stopped turning on. I think it's a little more than a few pings. I may not have stressed how severe the damage actually is because my goal was to just find out the procedure and policy and the stores were closed at the time of my post.. My IPad was in the same messenger bag and has a cracked screen best buy is already replacing that in store with the same unit which I guess in the end is the same level of service I expect for my MacBook as well. I'll know soon enough since I am on my way to local store in a little bit to let the geek squad have the laptop. Thank you all for the 411. One of the reasons I like shopping at bestbuy I can actually talk face to face with someone, not the RMA dude at newegg or the warranty cpecialist at square trade. Except for you Lexus man your still an idiot..

What you described should be fixed. A lid that doesn't close isn't cosmetic. If it was only dented or bent and didn't impede any functionality, then that would be considered cosmetic.

I'm okay with that, but I did pass 3rd grade English.
