Manufacturer Warranties and Protection Plans

I got my MacBook Pro fixed recently, and I asked if a new battery would be covered by my service plan. I was told it was, and that I could call Best Buy part search to get it ordered. After 3 calls, and countless redirections, I was unable to order one over the phone. I then went to the website and finally got to the part search, but found that the battery I need is no longer available. I was wondering if there is any battery for my computer that would be covered by the warrenty. I found one (not the original maker, but an acceptable replacement) but I really don't want to pay $130 when a battery shoud be covered by my service plan. Please help! I need a battery that lasts longer than one hour.

It should be covered, and is covered. All you should need to do is go into the store and they can create a service order for you. I did it for customers hundreds of times. As long as you have a 2 year or higher service plan, they should have no trouble doing it.
