Hey folks 7/13/2008 we purchased an LG Monitor LG W2252TQTF for our daughters birthday , and have never had any problems with any of the products we've purchased from you , good prices and good people. Yesterday her screen went black and we couldnt get the monitor to get passed the boot sequence . We've contacted LG about a replacement and they were very kind as well. I paid cash for the monitor and I cant find the receipt to send in to them to show a purchase date . .can anyone please help us with this. Thank you

One of the MOD's will be a long shortly and should be able to assist you. If you are a reward zone member or have an e-mail that is on file they should be able to find this for you.

I just wanted to ask, when you say cant get past the boot sequence, what are you talking about? Like when you turn the computer on?

Hi thanks for the reply , weve tried the monitor on two different computers and checked the cable as well , its doing the same thing on both . . it locks up during the boot up sequence and doesnt get passed bios on both

I highly doubt the monitor is the problem. A defective monitor would not prevent the computer from POSTing or booting.

Yeah the only thing that could be if its the monitor, is if the screen was just freezing. Which i also doubt the monitor is the issue. Its strange that 2 different computers do the same thing.

BTW, you said you paid cash. Unless you used a RZ card or purchased a service plan on the same receipt, it's very unlikely that your receipt will be able to be located.
But, again, I really doubt it's the monitor. You can run a computer headless just fine.

So the monitor was keeping the computer from booting? How is that possible?

BTW, I have that exact same monitor. I've never had problems with LGs. I'd stick with them if I were you.
