Re: Look Elsewhere for iPhone protection... will replace with broken phones or cheaper phones

Update on the update:

Called AT&T customer service and told them I thought something had changed with my plan and that the BBY Mobile reps had accessed my account the night before. The woman I spoke to said that my text messaging plan had been removed since it was associated with my phone # and since it was family texting.. that's why my fiance's stopped working also.

Miranda.. just got your message! It was the quickest way.  I also called the manager at BBY mobile and left a message.  He just called back and the problem had been resolved.

I really  and truly hope this was the final last issue.  I can't believe there have been sooooooo many issues.  This is honestly the craziest thing I've ever been through with a store.

Thanks to all that helped.. I think I'm at a good place right now with the phone and the service.   I think this was definitly a learning experience for all at BBY.   If anything from this last post... the BBY mobile reps know if they replace an iPhone with a new one, to make sure the plans get put back into place as it was. It sucks I had to be the guinea pig but hey... maybe this will prevent future iPhone protection plan claimers from dealing with all of these problems.

Re: Look Elsewhere for iPhone protection... will replace with broken phones or cheaper phones

I totally understand how you feel...I work at a best buy and I bought an iphone with our "PSP/BTP" protection and I worked with best buy mobile when we first started and I as well as other associates were told by leadership that we replaced devices with new devices if we could not service the device...there were never any talks about refurbs...even to this day I personally know of stores that sell this way to customers with false information and now with this great response from customers of bad practice aroung the psp there has been a great overhaul sweep of the psp system in stores where customers have to acknowledge at purchase that they are receiving the psp "terms and conditions' and this states to me that best buy is aware that customers were getting screwed on psps in the past because they were mislead by associates who either just point out the good and not the whole true picture, are misinformed, of are just told by leadership how to sell a psp and what it covers which in fact it is not true...I have seen this doen at mutiple stores and they are even planning to do this with my iphone issue and I plan to get a lawyer involved as I know how things have been told to employees by specific leadership and continue to be that way and this is just a bunch of you know what...corporaate has no real control over what their associates say, but they should back it up when they know by the amounts of complaints how these service plans that are being sold and making them money are actually being sold.

Re: Look Elsewhere for iPhone protection... will replace with broken phones or cheaper phones

I know fully what the psp covers...but I know also there are stores that do not sell the psp with words from the actual coverage...they sell it like it covers everything, except lost/theft, and they say its replaced with new one in store...no I explain fully to my customers and I am very objective about it...without and push, especially since we do not work on comission but the push from leadership on meeting goals is what pushed employees to either be misinformed or to highly praise the psp protection and it is not all that great...man if att had insurance on the iphone I would hop on that like "white on rice."
