After my dad having his ipod touch for some time without any problems, sadly we ran into one.
It all happened with Itunes while downloading an application the ipod froze and he was never able to make it work, we took it to the geeksquad and couldn't honor the warranty to just replace it with another one of the same kind due to the fact that the specific model(16gb) was being discontinued. Ipod was sent to apple and now they said that the ipod had water damage.
The ipod has never even touched a drop of water, never has been exposed to the outside,or humidity.
A whole month for you guys to let us know that nothing can be done to resolve the issue either by repairing it or exchanging it?
Wow!
My sister has an account with you guys and we have always done our shopping on bestbuy, we're definitely never using that card again, or even buy extended warranty. I'm glad it happened with this ipod and not with the macbook pro and canon 7D I was about to buy for work use.
Waste of our money and time!

You say that it froze. Did you try a reset (holding home and power buttons for 10 seconds)?
Also, you mention the "warranty." Are you referring to the BB GSBTP plan, or apple's mfg. warranty?

the best buy warranty, and yes, I did the reset, but it kept doing the same thing, it froze right when the apple logo appears... It was a Christmas present,so we only had it for 9 months... I really don't get how they came up with the conclusion of us damaging it with water.. We had a chance of upgrading one size bigger for $50 dls extra, I should have taken that deal, but my dad didn't need that much memory so we went through geeksquad and they sent it over to apple.
If i was tying to be clever and say I didnt do something I did I would have just taken the offer by best buy to get a bigger ipod, but we didnt, how stupid someone can be to know that they damaged their equipment and not change it for a new one for just 50 dls?
