I am frustrated. Appple and Best Buy have decided to Cheat thier customers by sending used ipods back to customers after they were sent in for malfuntioning, evn if the one being replaced is MUCH newer than replacement. Even if you got a new one that never worked right, Best buy Aplle ipods replacement plan has been changed with no Option to Opt out even though they took your money for a NEW REPLACEMENT, they are now sending used replacements, shiny, but dead batteries and malfunction Common.

I bought Replacement plan for my 32 then 64 gigabyte Ipod Touch. Unfortunately, Best Buy NO LONGER HONORS the agreement to replace broken products with new ones. Instead they send "REFRESHED" Ipods, which in my experience are generally not repaired or break quickly. The last three replacement have been broken when I received it or Broke within a week. This time after waiting weeks because BEST BUY lost the Ipod in their mailroom ( for some reason Apple sent it back to the store after telling me it would arrive here, so I waited weeks for my replacement). My new 64 Gig ipod upon arrival, has a battery that doesnt even last the day( new ones last for at least 3 days of 24 hour uses. It also randomly goes up and down on volume, may of the files sound garbled( when they are functioning perfectly on the computer and same files I used on my last new ipod before it broke and I got these replacements. It also doesnt put sound out on both headphone speakers, which is a common problem with these replacements. I am SO DISAPPOINTED that I could cry. Best buy managers from Auburn Store have been rude tome when I complained about this unbelievable series of malfunctioning ipods, after the first malfunction I begged for a new one, I have received TWO MORE BROKEN IPODS, it have been months since I have been able to listen to my ipod. This is no replacement plan, they are CHEATING ME ON MY WARRANTY. I gave them around $90 for the replacement plan and I have not received an adequate replacement Yet. If Someone from BEST BUY reads this PLEASE CONTACT ME. I CAN'T seem to get the agreement honored, I am almost ready to Buy a different kind of MP3 PLAYER from a store that is NOT BEST BUY. IF anyone else has had this problem and wants to petition APPLE and BEST BUY to change this travesty of replacement services then please contact me. I paid somewhere close to $500 for this ipod and placement plan and it lasted a couple of months. Then when I got broken replacements because I live far from BEST BUY I had broken Ipod for months before getting there to return it, this time I guess I could take a day off of work to travel the 3 hours to go deal with this, but it seems like a raw deal, since from experience, I likely will just receive another broken replacement..... 3 times I have gotten a broken replacement, and one time one side of headphone jack went out within a week. It is obvious the rule and not the exception. If this isn't resolved I will stop shopping at Best buy and for your info I have spent at least $5000 in last two years there. Fix this or lost a customer, same goes for Apple.
{email removed per community guidelines} is my email. Please fix this.
Thanks,
AN EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED and FORMERLY LOYAL CUSTOMER

You say , within warranty, should be any problem. That just isn't true as my case demonstrates. The new system is unfair, will lose customers and it takes a buncg of my time and leaves me with an MP3 player. Thanks for referring this case to someone who can help; will you do that please?

The policy is EXACTLY the same as when you purchased it. It has not changed contrary to what you believe. Replacements under Geek Squad Black Tie Protection Plan can be new or rebuilt to factory specs according to the Terms and Conditions that you agreed to.
A copy of the Terms of your plan can be found here.: https://www.productassist.com/tandc/TandC.html
You agreed to the Terms and Conditions when you purchased the service plan but now you are demanding that they be changed to your benefit? Remember that the service plan can be returned for a pro-rated refund at any time if you are unhappy with it.

I am just upset that I have been sent three iPods in a row that don't work and have been without the iPod or replacement that I paid for, if it is refurbished to factory specs then why doesn't it work? I was told verbally that it would be new, excuse me for not reading the fine print, I will be sure to from now on since apparently it is different than what is said at the time of buying the "protection". I may get a new one this time, but I have to take a day off work to go to best buy because it is three hour trip. You tone was not kind., I am the one who paid, not you. I was the one who has not had a working \ipod for months, not you. So I signed the contract, but it still hasn't been fullfilled and apparently the system doesn't work well if I keep getting bunk Ipods. right?

Sorry for speaking of legal action, I didn't mean me, I would only stop buying at Best Buy, that is all, but to be up to date and fair it looks like Best Buy is going to step up and actually give me a NEW replacement which I am pleased about and will keep me shopping at Best Buy. So latest news is that Best Buy it seems is seeing reason and realizes that it has been too much for me to get three lemons in a row, so I am grateful. Thanks Best Buy.
