Insignia 36" - bought last September - does warranty cover this?

So I bought an Insignia 36" LCD HDTV at BB last September. It worked fine, had no issues, was happy at $379. Lately, it has had a choppy picture, unable to play back recorded video from our AT&T Uverse recordings without stopping and starting, and even skips and stops on live broadcasts sometimes. We have an Apex that is working just fine, never skips or drags or delays, so I'm assuming it's the tv and not AT&T Uverse.

Since this is past the 30-45 days within which returns with receipts are accepted, is there anything I can do? I just have the standard limited warranty that came with the tv.

What are my options?

Thanks,

Richard

What are you using to playback the recordings?

just the standard U-Verse HD DVR, made by Cisco. we have the HDMI cable, obviously, bought the exact same cable for our tv downstairs, the Apex and have had no problems. i guess it could be the cable. box seems okay, haven't had any problems to date, and it's fine on live tv, HD or otherwise.

I guess my next logical trouble shooting step would be to try it on the TV downstairs and see if it's the box or not.

Hello wickerkat.

Welcome to the forums!

I'm sorry to hear that your television isn't working.  You should be covered under the manufacturers warranty.  You'll have to bring the television into you local store and they'll send it out to our repair center.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
