I called customer service again, and was transferred to a supervisor and was told that tomorrow an in home manager was going to give me a call before 12:00 pm to see if I qualify for getting a replacement tv.
I hope they call.
I hope I will have a working tv.
I hope Best Buy lives up to there standards.
I am worried however because my tv is now around four years old and they will not be able to replace it. I paid over $2000 for the tv and added the four year warranty and then added a one year extra warranty. It is also a 52 inch tv.
I hope if they replace the tv it will come to the same amount and include at least a four year warranty.
I would be wonderful to have a tv again.

If your TV is replaced, it will be replaced with a unit of comparable specs. The primary considerations are display technology, screen size, and resolution. The replacement cannot exceed your original purchase price.
You mentioned bulb, so it's a projection. You'll end up with a 52" LCD or plasma (because projections are pretty much gone) of whatever resolution your current one is, which I'm guessing is 720p. The brand will most likely be an Insignia, which I believe carry a two-year mfg. warranty.
The replacement will fulfill your current PSP, so if you wish your new TV to be covered, it will be necessary to purchase a GSBTP plan for it.
Now, looking at BB's current 52" offerings, there is nothing below $2000. The cheapest is a 1080p Sony for $2200. This appears to be because 52" is not a very popular size anymore. Unless you are wedded to that size, I'd recommend asking them to step you up to a 55".
Keep in mind that this is just my opinion, and I'm not affiliated with BB, so BB is in no way obligated to what I've said.

I do not respond to these issues very often but I do have to say - Best Buy remember that it was "your technician" that lost the piece. This customer "should not" have to pay for anything in the replacement of this television (including a warranty). "You" have made this television no longer repairable.
I am still a loyal customer of Best Buy and hope to remain that way.
