I filed a PRP claim online and mailed off my xbox 360 on 2/27. 3 weeks later and I still don't have my gift card. My status on their website said paid, and now it says fulfilled and has been like that for over a week now.   How long does it take to get it??

What a joke...I called best buy's product replacement plan department today and they told me that my gift card was mailed on March 10.  Well, it's now the 23rd and still no gift card.  Does Best Buy mail these gift cards via horse and carriage?  I was told I have to wait 14 days from when the gift card was mailed before I can get another one reissued.  I'm feeling I may have to get another reissued, becuase no matter where in the US it was mailed, it should have been here already. Best Buy really needs to send these expensive gift cards via a reliable trackable source like fedex or ups.

There might be a quicker resolution for this, if you can call customer service and get the number of the gift card you can bring in this number into the store and they can replace it on the spot. But dont quote me on this.

Usually to get a card replaced you have to keep the letter enclosed with your gift card as a proof of purchase in the event something happens to it.

I’m happy to see that the gift card arrived!  Please accept my personal apology for any inconvenience caused by the time it took to get it to you.

There are a few reasons why we ask you to wait a certain amount of time before reissuing a gift card that hasn’t arrived:  one is that sometimes the mail can take a little longer than normal.  The postal service delivers whether rain, sleet, snow or hail, but sometimes there are causes for delay that even they can’t rise above!  Another reason is that the original gift card is cancelled when reissuing a new one.  One of the most frustrating things that I can imagine is having you receive your gift card the day after it’s cancelled.  Since a cancellation can’t be undone, you’d be in the position to wait it out again.

I’m glad you’ve received it though.  Feel free to let us know how you’re enjoying your new game system, and thank you for taking the time to write about your experience.
