HP plasma TV picture went completely out. Looked at my "warranty" and saw I had a good 8 months left before it expired and exhailed. Called up the Geek Squad and they said a technician would be on his way the next daty. Wow. I was impressed. He shows up, looks at the TV having no picture and says, OK, we will order some parts and come back to fix it in a couple of weeks. Huh? I pay HUNDREDS of dollars for a "warranty" and I have to go without the product for this long?
So, they called this past Sunday...good news! They can come today to fix it. So, the wife stays home, waits by the phone for the confirm call and never gets it....she calls the Geek Squad and they say they will get in touch with tech guy and all is good. OK. No problem. Over an hour goes by and STILL no calls and no tech guy at the house...less than 2 hours left in our "window" that we were guaranteed....wife calls again. Oh, the tech guy called in sick today. We have no backup plan in place. We will reschedule you...I called up furious. Customer service gave me the "oh well" treatment. And then they tell me I should take off ANOTHER day next week so a tech guy can come by....yeah, right....waste ANOTHER day to wait for this horrendous operation to show up (or more likely, not show up).
Long story short....DO NOT PURCHASE ANY WARRANTIES FROM BEST BUY....it is a waste of time, money and energy. I am stuck waiting for a repair that might never take place but after that, I will NEVER purchase a product from Worst Buy again...

Even though what would make a customer truly satisfied is sometimes not possible, no customer should ever have their concerns met with an “Oh Well” attitude. I truly do apologize for being given expectations that were not met, and I can honestly say that when I am told to expect a phone call I expect that phone call to be made.
It is true that we don’t have technicians on call in case one of our technicians are unable to work on a particular day, but we do try to get that technicians appointments for that day scheduled with any other technicians (that service the customer’s area) if they have any openings in their schedule for that day.
I do see that you are scheduled to have the parts installed tomorrow 9/10/2009. I am sending you a private message, and to check your messages you should log into the forum and then click on the letter icon in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
