Ge Cafe Dishwasher

We purchased a Ge Cafe Dishwasher one year ago and have been having problems ever since then .   Our dishes do not come out clean.  We have had Best Buy tech come out to the house several times but nobody has explain why the dishes have come out not completely clean.. How many times do we need to get the dishwasher check before Best Buy will replace it.  We have done everything the tech has told us to do with no success. We do have an extended warranty on the product.  Can anyone help us with an answer. Brian

Suffering through a dishwasher that doesn’t sufficiently clean your dishes for an entire year would be extremely frustrating, and I’m sure the fact that several of our technicians were not able to resolve the problem is even more upsetting.

I can understand you wanting a replacement dishwasher after all you have gone through, but once the return or exchange period has expired on your purchase the store would no longer be able to exchange your dishwasher for a different one.

I did see that you purchased a Performance Service Plan (PSP) to cover any repairs that might come up, and although the PSP is intended to repair your dishwasher there are circumstances in which it would replace your dishwasher instead of repairing it. Your PSP would replace your dishwasher if it ever has three qualifying repairs and there is a diagnosis that a fourth repair is need, if we determine the dishwasher is un-repairable, or if we determine the repair wouldn’t be cost effective to continue. A qualifying repair is when a non-consumable part(s) is installed and due to that part(s) installation the technician determines your dishwasher is working correctly.

I did look into your repair history and I don’t see any qualifying repairs on this unit, but I do see that you are scheduled to have the dishwasher looked at again on 8/1/2009. I would like to see if there is something more I can do to work towards getting you a dishwasher that works to your satisfaction, and I am sending you a private message to get the conversation started.
