I purchased a Dynex buu-ray player in Nov/Dec 2011. Now the power button and open/close button do not work (the rest of the buttons seem to work OK). I tries a generic remote withthe same results. How can this be fixed?

In the original post I failed to note that the Dynex is a DX-WBRDVD1BD Player with a serail no. of {removed per forum guidelines}

I'm sorry to hear that you Blu Ray player isn't working. When did you purchase the player? Did you purchase a Geek Squad Black Tie Protection plan? At what store did you purchase it from?

There should be a one year manufacturers warranty on the player. Please bring it to your local store and the Geek Squad will be able to take a look at it.
