Dell Inspiron 1526 Warranty Issue

Hii..

 

I bought a Dell Inspiron 1526 in May 08 through BestBuy.

 

Recently, I had an issue with the battery. It's not getting recharged. The battery icon is showing the message, plugged in, not charging.

 

I bought the laptop from USA, and I stay in India. So, if I have to replace battery under warranty, I have to transfer the ownership/warranty to India. Dell support gave me an online link to do so. But, the problem is that, the page is asking for Original Owner and E-mail Id information. I don't know that.

 

I was told me that I should find the steps for registering the product in the laptop box which was factory sealed when I received it. But, there's only a number written there. I think it's of BestBuy.

 

Can someone please help me in registering the product?
